APP Workouts
The Valley Division Recruitment Team will be conducting workouts at the California Highway Patrol Academy as a part of the Applicant Preparation Program (APP). The workouts are designed to provide insight to cadet physical training, and assist applicants prepare for the CHP Physical Abilities Test (PAT) and the CHP Academy. Attendees shall wear appropriate athletic workout attire free of any large logos or inappropriate material. Applicants are encouraged to wear a white crewneck t-shirt (no logos) with your last name neatly printed and centered on the back six inches from the collar in black two-inch block lettering consisting of no more than seven letters (capital letters). Attendees should bring necessary items such as a workout towel and proper hydration.
First-time attendees of the APP Workouts are required to print out, complete, and bring with them to workout, the
Applicant Preparation Program (APP) Waiver, applicants will not be allowed to participate without having a form on file.
APP Written Exam Seminars
The Valley Division Recruitment Unit will be conducting Written Exam Seminars as a part of the Applicant Preparation Program (APP). The Written Exam Seminars will focus on the key components of the POST Entry Level Law Enforcement Test Battery (PELLETB). Attendees are encouraged to bring note taking material and a writing utensil. Attendees shall wear appropriate business casual attire.
Career Workshops
The Valley Division Recruitment Unit will be conducting Career Workshops as a part of the Applicant Preparation Program (APP). The Career Workshops are designed to provide applicants with information about the hiring process, Academy life, and specialized units within the Department.
