​The San Onofre Inspection Facility is located along the northern San Diego County coast on Interstate 5, 13 miles north of Oceanside CA. Approximately 180,000 commercial vehicles pass through the scale facility per month. The primary mission of the Inspection Facility is ensuring the safe and efficient operation of commercial vehicles traveling both northbound and southbound on Interstate 5. The Facility conducts North American Standard Inspections to ensure commercial safety compliance and provides information on laws regulating the commercial vehicle industry.
